Warranty Terms

This warranty certificate attests that the products sold by GROVA SRL comply with the declared specifications and benefit from a warranty under the conditions provided by GEO no. 140/2021 regarding certain aspects of goods sales contracts and Government Ordinance no. 21/1992 on consumer protection.


1. Warranty Duration

Products sold under the Grova brand benefit from the following commercial warranty periods:

  • Smart rings: 24 months standard warranty

  • Stylus Pens: 24 months standard warranty

  • Internal batteries: 6 months

  • Accessories and consumables (charging cable, screen protectors, carrying case): not covered by warranty, except for manufacturing defects reported within 15 days of purchase

Smart rings are products worn daily in direct contact with the skin. Defects caused by normal aesthetic wear, oxidation from perspiration or contact with chemical substances (perfumes, detergents, creams) are not covered by warranty, as they are consumables with predictable wear.


2. What the Warranty Covers

The warranty covers manufacturing defects occurring under normal use conditions, including:

  • Hardware malfunctions (e.g., sensors not working correctly, defective internal display, unstable Bluetooth connection)

  • Software malfunctions caused exclusively by the manufacturer (e.g., factory-corrupted firmware)

  • Internal components showing structural defects from production


3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not apply in the following situations:

  • Mechanical, thermal, or physical damage caused by shocks, drops, vibrations, fire, or accidents

  • Scratches, dents, or cosmetic damage to surfaces

  • Use of accessories, power sources, or cables not approved by Grova

  • Any unauthorized intervention on the product (unsealing, unauthorized hardware or software modifications)

  • Discrepancy between the product serial number (S/N) and the invoice

  • Deletion, modification, or absence of identification labels

  • Contact of the product with liquids, chemical substances, or excessive humidity

  • Use under inappropriate conditions (e.g., incorrect voltage, dusty or polluted environment)

  • Normal wear and tear of the internal battery, cables, and external accessories

  • Oxidation, discoloration, or degradation of the ring caused by contact with water, perspiration, perfume, or chemical agents

  • Defects caused by force majeure

  • Non-compliance with the operating instructions included in the product box


4. Service Procedure

Warranty service is free of charge throughout the warranty period.

  1. Contact us by email at contact@grova.ro or via the form on grova.ro, with a detailed description of the defect

  2. Prepare the documents: purchase invoice and defect description (symptoms, steps taken before it appeared)

  3. Pack the product appropriately — preferably in its original packaging or a protective box — and ship the defective electronic component, along with accessories, unless otherwise instructed by our team.

  4. Round-trip transportation is fully covered by Grova

  5. Grova will process the service sheet and inform you about the repair status throughout the procedure

  6. Grova will repair, replace, or refund the product's value, depending on the nature of the defect, stock availability, and the severity of the case

Important: If you do not provide the invoice, the collection address for the package, and the defect description, Grova reserves the right to suspend processing until all necessary information is received.


5. Resolution Period

Repair or replacement of the defective product will be carried out within a maximum of 15 calendar days from the date the product is handed over to service. In complex cases, the term may be extended by mutual written agreement between Grova and the consumer, in accordance with GEO 140/2021.


6. Applicable Fees After Term Expiration

  • Storage fee: 5 lei/day, applicable after 15 days from notification that the product is ready, if the customer does not pick it up

  • Abandonment: A product not collected within 180 days of notification is considered abandoned, and the client's ownership right ceases according to Article 562, paragraph (2) of the Civil Code. Starting from day 181, the product becomes the property of Grova according to Article 941, paragraph (1) of the Civil Code, from which point the storage fee is no longer applicable.

  • Non-Grova product: If you ship a product that does not belong to the Grova brand, you will be charged for round-trip transportation, an amount payable within 15 calendar days.


7. General Warranty Conditions

  • The warranty is calculated from the invoicing date of each product, based on the serial number (S/N) and product code

  • Grova does not assume responsibility for data loss stored on the device — regular backups are recommended before any service intervention

  • Grova is not responsible for damage or loss of user-applied accessories (foils, engravings, stickers) as a result of the verification or repair process

  • In case of repeated non-conformity, the consumer may request product replacement or a refund of the amount paid, in accordance with GEO 140/2021

  • Estimated average lifespan: 24 months for smart rings and stylus pens

  • The provisions of this certificate do not affect the consumer's rights conferred by current legislation (GEO no. 140/2021 and Government Ordinance no. 21/1992)

  • Ownership of defective parts replaced under warranty reverts to Grova

This warranty is voluntarily offered by Grova and includes additional rights beyond the legal warranty, without affecting your rights as a consumer, according to the national legislation in force.
